Attendees -- Plan Your Day

This is a FREE event! Admission and parking are totally free!

TIME: Gates open at 10 a.m., and exhibits close at 4 p.m.

PARKING: FREE to attendees of North Bay Science Discovery Day. Often another major event is scheduled at the same time as our event, and often their attendees have to pay for their parking. Be sure you go to the correct parking lot. Pay attention to the signage that directs you to the "Science Fair Parking." From Highway 101, go directly east on Bennett Valley Road to the next block past the fairgrounds; then turn right into our parking lot.

FOOD: Several food trucks will be on site with food available for purchase. Outside food is allowed. Picnic tables and lawn space is available for eating lunch. In past years, the lines to buy food have been long and time consuming. Save valuable fun event time by designating one person to stand in line.

SHOW TIMES: The only scheduled show is the Mentos and Cola Reaction which is hourly on the half hour:  11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. Close up seating is guaranteed to get sprayed!

QUESTIONS? Look for white lab coats! These folks should be knowledgable and able to answer questions. Special individuals "se habla espanol" are wearing a sash that indicates their ability to speak both English and Spanish.

LAYOUT: There are over 100 exhibitors with hands-on activities for kids to do. These are located around the fairgrounds in SIX different buildings as well as the outdoor lawn space. Don't start where everyone else does. Try starting at the back and working your way forward. Use your printed program and plan to see all of the exhibit areas!
